Highways claims management manual updated

In 2015 we launched the Alarm Highways claims management manual with the aim of providing a practical reference document to risk and insurance professionals who are responsible for managing the performance of the highways claims process. Our aim was to update the document as developments occurred within the field of highways risk and liabilities.

Following the launch of an update to its code of practice, the UK Roads Liaison Group (UKRLG) published the Well managed highway infrastructure: a code of practice. This code takes an integrated, risk based approach to managing highway infrastructure assets.

As a result of this new code of practice, Section 2: Managing the highways liability risks of the Highways claims management manual has been updated and revised to reflect the changes and the need to adopt a risk based approach to managing highway infrastructure risks by October 2018.

The manual is free to download for Alarm Full Members.
