Public RM shortlisted at CorpComms awards
Alarm's quarterly Members' journal, Public RM has been shortlisted for 'Best corporate publication – not-for-profit and public sector organisations' at the 2016 CorpComms awards.
The award recognises a publication that communicates an organisation's activities to various stakeholders, forming part of a clear communications strategy. Alarm has recently developed its marketing and communications strategy to help drive the organisation and its priorities forward for the benefit of Members and their organisations. A key focus of this Strategy is to continue to highlight and inform Members on relevant topical changes and developments within the industry so Members can best serve the communities they represent. Public RM is a key communication tool that supports this, and being shortlisted for such an award provides confirmation of this. Public RM also assists another of the communication objectives to consistently promote Alarm as the leading professional organisation for the management of risk and insurance in the public sector.
Celebrating the news, Alarm Chairman, Peter Andrews commented: "It is great that our core Members' publication has been externally recognised for the support and guidance it provides our diverse membership base. Despite the challenges that continue to affect our Members and their organisations, Alarm is determined to support Members and providing the most relevant guidance and best practice is just one of the ways we are doing this. My thanks go to all those involved in the development of Public RM and I look forward to hearing the winner announced on 23 November."
Public RM has been nominated for this award alongside The Review from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) and Borough Life from Wigan Council. The winner will be announced on Wednesday 23 November in London and Alarm will update Members on the outcome.
