2018 Chair's charity - Children's Bereavement Centre

This year Alarm Chair, Jane O'Leary has chosen to support the Children's Bereavement Centre; a unique and very special charity that offers children and families affected by terminal illness the support and guidance they need during a very difficult time.

The Children's Bereavement Centre offer the professional support and advice children may need. Early intervention and support has been proven to help adverse behaviour and mental health problems developing in the future. The Children's Bereavement Centre operates across Nottinghamshire and parts of Lincolnshire, helping children and their families to cope with loss and move forward.

Alarm Chair, Jane O’Leary said: “Last year one of my colleagues passed away from breast cancer, aged 42. She had two young children. To me one of the saddest aspects is the fact that children grow up without a mother or father. I am supporting a charity that provides that essential support network for children who have lost a parent during their own childhood.”

Members will have the opportunity to donate at the Risk Awards dinner on Monday 25 June during the Chair's charity raffle. View more information about the Alarm Risk Awards.
