An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage the Royal Borough’s insurance and risk management functions.
To be considered for this post you will need to have significant experience of managing an insurance function, with a strong understanding of risk and control environments within local government.
The Royal Borough operates a self-insurance fund and you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of the service in relation to all insurance related matters including the tender and purchase of insurance cover. You will be responsible for coordinating the Royal Borough’s approach to risk management, providing advice to colleagues and maintaining the strategic risk register.
You will also assist in maintaining the governance arrangements, providing input to standing orders and schemes of delegation and report to committee as required.
Your work will be varied and your timetable busy, you will be expected to work to high standards and deliver excellent service through your team. Please note applicants from a private sector background are welcome but you will need to demonstrate the relevant knowledge and understanding of the local government insurance and risk management environment.
