An opportunity has arisen to work within the council’s in-house Insurance and Risk team as a Principal Risk Specialist, covering all aspects of corporate risk.

The Insurance and Risk team deliver all insurance functions, claims handling in its entirety, and corporate and operational risk management services to the council and its wholly owned companies.
Reporting to the Risk and Insurance Manager daily activities include being the council’s expert advisor on all matters relating to risk management. To lead on the identification and prioritisation of internal and external risk factors that may impact on the delivery of the Council Plan, Core Priorities and delivery of services and effectively communicate these to senior managers, Directors and Leadership Team.
