Alarm seminar: Let's talk about insurance and Brexit
Friday 28 April 2017
The North West Group are pleased to invite you to their spring seminar taking place in Liverpool on Friday 28 April 2017.
Sessions will include:
- Vnuk consultation
In December 2016, the government launched a consultation on the broadening of compulsory motor insurance where cover for third party liability should be determined by the use of the vehicle, regardless of where it is being used. This session will explore the options within the consultation and what they mean in practice.
- Post Brexit scenarios and their implications
This session will look at the timescale for post Article 50 negotiations and the possible outcome or deal we may see. In addition, underpinned by a consideration of the financial impacts, this session will examine what the effects of each of the possible deals would be for local authorities on issues such as procurement and contracting, employment and regulation and compliance. This session will also consider the European legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation that is due to be applied in the UK in 2018.
- Highways, what's new?
This session will consider the changes to the Highways Code of Practice, recent developments in the law in this area and the practical aspects of dealing with these claims going forward.
Places at this event are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so we recommend you book early to guarantee your place.
This event is free to attend for Alarm full and associate Members.
