·         Includes the full text of 40 journals published by SAGE and participating societies, some journals going back 60 years, encompassing over 50,500 articles.

PLANEX

·         A bibliographic and abstracts database compiled by the IDOX Information Service over a period of almost 30 years. It covers all the subject areas of local public policy and governance, such as: economic development, town and country planning, housing, urban and rural regeneration, transport, tourism and leisure, property development, environment and nature conservation, education and training, social work and local government management.

·         Records contained in PLANEX are for journal articles, books, semi-published materials such as policies, strategies, plans, guidance, and consultation documents, annual reports and reviews, government publications, web-published documents, and case studies.

Library of Local Performance Indicators

·         The library is a joint project run by the Audit Commission (external link) and the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) (external link). It is a free on-line service aimed at helping local authorities and their partners monitor and improve their progress in meeting local priorities. ·         Croner provide publications and information which is focused on legislative compliance and best practice, and is intended for professionals working in central and local government, health and safety, and various sectors such as education, trade and transport. Its databases include Croner’s asbestos RM, Croner’s employment law, Croner’s fire RM, Croner’s H&S at work, Croner’s management of construction safety.

Performance Management, Measurement and Information project (PMMI)

 

·                   The Performance Management, Measurement and Information project (PMMI), is part of the strategic collaboration between the IDeA and the Audit Commission and is designed to bring performance management together in a whole new, more effective and more consistent way. The PMMI site has a wealth of information, guidance and case studies and links on performance management from performance management culture, the role of leaders to the essentials of effective performance management frameworks.

·       The aim of the project is to develop a common approach and language on performance management in all areas of work, from publications to consultancy and audit and inspection.
