Alarm CEO Dr Lynn Drennan was presented with a
special award for Outstanding Contribution to Risk
Management
At the StrategicRISK Awards held in London on 8th May, Alarm CEO
Dr Lynn Drennan was presented with a special award for Outstanding
Contribution to Risk Management. Editor of StrategicRISK
magazine, Nathan Skinner, highlighted Lynn’s long involvement in
risk management education at Glasgow Caledonian University, and her
many publications over the years, which had contributed to the
growth and development of the profession. Having recently
announced her plans to take early retirement, Lynn commented “this
award is really the ‘icing on the cake’ and I am thrilled to have
been recognised in this way”.
Congratulations also go to Alarm members, Rosemary Ryan at the
Irish Public Bodies Mutual Insurance, who received a special
judges’ commendation for Best Enterprise Risk Management Programme
of the Year, and the risk management team at Sandwell Metropolitan
Borough Council who won Best Risk Management Approach in the Public
