Alarm Launches 2011 Annual Risk Management Awards
Scheme
24th February 2011
Alarm, the public risk management association
has today launched the 2011 Alarm Annual Awards Scheme. Entering
the Awards is a great opportunity not only to raise the profile of
risk management within public service organisations but also to
ensure that achievements in public service risk management are
recognised.
Previous Alarm Awards finalists have
demonstrated imaginative approaches to tackling both local and
major societal risk issues including anti-social behaviour,
obesity, school security and corporate performance. This year Alarm
has worked to review the existing Awards categories to ensure that
the full range of responsibilities and issues currently being
managed by our profession are reflected. As a result 2011 sees the
introduction of the Community Risk Award which will recognise
contributions to improve resilience, cohesion and projects within
local communities.
Alarm CEO, Dr Lynn Drennan said “As the premier
public risk management association in the UK Alarm has been
recognising and rewarding excellence in public services for over 15
years. At a time when the public sector is facing the challenges of
doing more with less, winning an award can boost staff morale and
help move risk management up the corporate agenda”.
