Finance and Resources - Claims
Investigator
SO2: starting salary
£30,345 p.a. rising in annual increments to £31,935 p.a.
Help us investigate
insurance claims made against the Council and tackle insurance
fraud head on. This is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic, self
motivated individual, who can work independently with minimum
supervision, to join a dynamic forward looking team in this
demanding area of local government.
Lambeth receive several
hundred public liability, employers’ liability and motor vehicle
damage claims very year. Many of those claims involve personal
injury. You will be responsibility for conducting and coordinating
the investigation of liability claims, gathering evidence to defend
the authority against frivolous or misguided claims and promoting
the authority’s anti-fraud hotline. The Fraud Act 2006 simplified
the procedure for prosecuting insurance fraudsters and a key part
of this role is the identification and investigation of potentially
fraudulent claims, to a standard that would satisfy a court.
If you think you can meet
the demands of this role, and relish the challenge, then we look
forward to hearing from you.
