Welcome to Alarm Wales
Alarm Wales currently has over 100 members,
who receive a wide range of services, including free regional
events, annual member surveys, Alaming News, (the region's
newsletter), themed events and Networking.
Alarm Wales continues to develop services for
its members. And recognise that not everyone will be
able, or even want, to attend regional meetings, (not least because
of the time needed to travel in Wales), but believes it is
important that every member has full access to all that is
available and is able to participate in the way that suits them
best, as and when they want to.

Alarm Wales gets visited
by a Crocodile!
The Alarm Wales February meeting focused on the
disaster scenario ‘Jeremy the Crocodile’, with speakers acting out
the scenario of what happens when a child on a school trip to the
local zoo gets eaten by a crocodile. The morning workshop session
explored what strategies and policies needed to be in place to be
able to cope with a similar situation and the afternoon session
featured ‘The Inquest’. The day proved to be interesting, thought
provoking and entertaining, with some very valuable educational
lessons learnt.
