Education and Training

Alarm aims to provide information on and access to a wide range of education and training opportunities that will meet the needs of our increasingly diverse membership. Education and training takes many forms, some of the options available through Alarm are outlined below.

Alarm Country, Regional and Sector Events
Alarm members benefit from access to Country, Regional and Sector (CRS) events held around the UK and focusing on topical subjects and issues. All CRS events qualify for Alarm CPD points towards Risk Registered Practitioner (RRP) status.

Registered Risk Practitioner
A recognised Continuing Professional Development process for Risk Practitioners – the Registered Risk Practitioner scheme

Alarm Course Endorsement Alarm is offering a new quality in risk management training. This service allows training providers to offer bespoke training whilst gaining formal recognition from Alarm. The recognition offered by Alarm demonstrates that the training company's 
products reach an objectively defined and independently evaluated quality standard.

Public Sector Management of Risk Courses
The Alarm  M_o_R^® courses are specifically tailored to the public sector. M_o_R^® is a recognised qualification from the OGC suite which includes PRINCE2^® and MSP, and is also a route towards Alarm's Registered Risk Practitioner (RRP) status.

Discounted Accredited Training Courses
Significant savings are available on accredited training courses from Maven Training. Maven Training are offering PRINCE2, MSP and MoR courses at significant discounts for Alarm members - visit the Accredited Training pages for more information. 

E-Learning Portal
Alarm members can benefit from access to accredited e-learning courses provided by the ILX Group.

International Certificate or Diploma in Risk Management
The professional Certificates and Diplomas of the Institute of Risk Management, with a 10% fee discount for Alarm members

MSc in Risk Management
The MSc in Risk Management by distance learning, delivered by Glasgow Caledonian University, with a 10% fee discount for Alarm members.
