Alarm Annual Awards - 2011

Alarm Congratulates the 2011 Alarm Awards' Winners and
Finalists
The Alarm Annual Awards seek evidence of
innovation, and of the impact of new approaches to tackling public
risk management issues. The judging criteria requires entrants to
specify the need for the initiative, the approach taken, the
innovative aspects and the impact in terms of measurable
results. The judges also look for the potential for continued
benefits to the organisations and communities involved.
The shortlisted organisations and individuals
for the 2011 Awards must be congratulated for their submissions
which demonstrated many of the qualities the judges were looking
for. To be an Alarm Award finalist, entrants have to be judged a
worthy winner of at least a Commendation. Normally,
there will be an outright winner in each category however, this
year, the judges decided not to present the main award in the
People Risk category and, instead, to recognize the achievements of
the two finalists by awarding Commendations in both cases.
Alarm would like to thank everyone who
entered the Awards, and the judges for their efforts, and to
congratulate the Commended and Award-winning organisations and
individuals, who act as beacons of good practice in public risk
management.
