Consultations and research
ALARM conducts research and responds to external consultations
on behalf of its members. In the recent past, ALARM has contributed
to research by CABE, the Department of Constitutional Affairs and

Regional network
ALARM members belong to one of nine regional or country groups,
giving access to local training, events and professional
networks.
Special interest groups
Special interest groups are formed by ALARM members and external
experts to conduct specific research or produce reports of
particular interest to members. Special interest groups have
recently published Risk Management: Making a Difference and
Managing the Risk of Fraud: the ALARM Standard for Risk
Advisors.
Sector groups
The Police and Fire Service sector groups give ALARM members
working in these services a forum for developing and sharing risk
management best practice, tailored especially for their
organisations.
