About Alarm South West
The South West Region of Alarm covers the
counties of:
o Cornwall
o Devon
o Dorset
o Gloucestershire
o Somerset
o Wiltshire
This also includes some 12 unitary
authorities.
Membership
Current membership which stands at about 125
includes:
o Local authorities
o Police forces
o Fire Services
o Insurers
And we plan to make inroads into the health
sector bodies within the Region
Events.
The Region holds 3 “working” meetings each
with a speaker which enables general discussion round the
presentation plus a workshop and seminar both of full day
duration.
Additionally the unitary authorities meeting
twice a year as the South West Unitaries Risk Management Group to
work on matters of common interest.
Other activities
The local authorities in
Dorset have formed a County wide risk management
group which operates separate from Alarm and a
Devon Group is scheduled to be re-started in the
next few weeks.
